Taghazout, the cradle of surfing in Morocco

AGADIR-TAGHAZOUT

Beaches & surfing

In the west of the country, bordered by the waves of the Atlantic, Agadir is one of the pearls of Morocco. Whatever the season, the sun pours its rays there and the city benefits from a pleasant climate which is further softened by the trade winds. Its waterfront, 10 kilometers long, offers magnificent views of the blue ocean.

Never dormant, the city hosts the Timitar festival every summer dedicated to world music and more specifically Amazigh music.

Open to the ocean and the world, Agadir is an active city where it is good to relax.

The most beautiful waterfalls in Morocco

AZIZAL - OUZOUD

Spectacular waterfalls

Located in the center of the Atlas, this city is enhanced by the natural landscapes that surround it. It has been able to highlight its living culture, its craftsmanship and its architecture to develop responsible ecotourism.

A rich and varied gastronomy such as Berber couscous, fish tagine, olive tagine, cooked with argan oil.

There are numerous natural wonders such as the splendid waterfalls of Ouzoud, the astonishing natural bridge of Imi N'Ifri, near Demnate, the azure blue water of Lake Bin El Widane, the gorges of Wadi Ahansal or the very beautiful Tamga nature reserve.

Last unmissable destination, the Aït Bouguemez valley, overlooked by the majestic M'goun mountain, peaking at more than 4,071 meters. It is nicknamed the valley of happy people.

The mecca of kite surfing in Morocco and around the world

DAKHLA

Kite surfing paradise

A little piece of paradise in the south of Morocco, lost between the waters of the Atlantic and the sands of the Sahara. Being there is a delight to be consumed without moderation. Kilometers of beaches stretch on either side of the city: the opportunity to relax, also the opportunity to indulge in all kinds of water activities.

These shores are among the most beautiful in Morocco. Isolated from the world by the surrounding desert, they are a true haven of peace, the ideal place to relax, under a 25 degree sun all year round.

Calm and crystal clear waters of the lagoon, while Foum El Bouir is a site dedicated to the pleasures of water sports. Surfers, kitesurfers and windsurfers let themselves be carried away by the waves and the winds. A gateway to the desert, opening onto sub-Saharan Africa, Dakhla is also and above all a gateway to paradise!

Unmissable starting point for a camel trek

ERRACHIDIA - MERZOUGA

Desert & caravans

The first two cities discover a country of mountains with the reliefs of the Middle Atlas which draw natural pictures. It is also from there that the caravans left loaded with foodstuffs towards Timbuktu.

Merzouga is one of the gateways to the Sahara, a small village lost in the middle of the sands. This is the territory of Erg Chebbi, a world of dunes, palm groves, trails and hikes. While traveling through the desert, discover stretches of sand bathed in sun and silence. Hiking in the middle of these arid immensities when, at the bend of a dune, a lake: it is the Dayet Srij.

In the middle of the desert is one of the richest ecosystems in Morocco.

Essaouira The Mogador white fortress of yesteryear

ESSAOUIRA - MOGADOR

The White Fortress

Crenellated walls, the blowing of the trade winds, houses with white and blue facades, the color of foam and waves.

Former Mogador, Essaouira is one of those coastal towns where a relaxed lifestyle and water activities complement each other. We walk there quietly, in the shade of its ramparts. We climb these walls, we take the covered path: from there, we can see the Purpuraires Islands, the hawks, the seagulls and the gulls which hover above this nature reserve.

Then, the walk leads to the fishing port where the sailors come alive; not far from there, the fish market where you can taste fish and seafood caught that night. In the center, the medina unfolds the interlacing of its streets. Among the most beautiful in Morocco, it is classified by UNESCO. Finally, every summer, the city is bathed in music: the Gnaoua festival is held there, which celebrates Afro-North African rhythms.

Fez Meknes

FEZ - MÈKNES

Imperial pearls

Fez radiates a singular aura. She is the Imperial, the custodian of thirteen centuries of Moroccan history. Its famous medina is distinguished by UNESCO as an exceptional universal value.

In May, the squares and alleys resonate with the Festival of Sacred Music of the World. Notably with Jazz in Riads one of the main events on the cultural calendar. Fassi gastronomy is renowned as being one of the best in the world.

A few dozen kilometers away, Meknes, another open-air museum. Its medina and the remains of the royal palace have earned it a place as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is one of the masterpieces of Hispano-Moorish art. North of Meknes lies the largest Roman archaeological site in Morocco: Volubilis. Triumphal arch, capitol, house of Bacchus, everything bears witness.

Imperial, eternal cities, Meknes and Fez offer the experience of a timeless stay, on the borders of the present and history.

Ifrane

IFRANE

Mountains & monkeys

The Morocco of the heights, that of the Atlas and its majestic reliefs.

Perched at an altitude of 1,650 meters, the city contributes to the wealth of experiences that can be had in Morocco. There, lakes with quiet waves, waterfalls which pour their cold waters into the valleys. All around, the largest cedar forest in the world . The purity of Ifrane's air depends on a delicate balance. There are numerous hiking trails there, among the most beautiful in the country. A rich and varied fauna, at the bend of a path, a macaque which amuses itself with its antics; further away, proud and fearful, a Barbary deer keeping watch.

Ifrane is also a heritage. A typical regional craft with upholsterers who spin their works; basket weavers weaving rods of rush; potters and shops selling Thuya wood objects.

Ifrane is Moroccan “little Switzerland”.

The last Portuguese city in the Kingdom of Morocco

EL JADIDA - MAZAGAN

The Portuguese City

Formerly nicknamed Mazagan, this city built by the Portuguese has stood proudly facing the ocean since the 16th century. The excellent preservation of its architectural treasures and the fabulous mix of influences between Moroccan and European cultures have earned it a place as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lovers of the 7th art will recognize sets from multiple film productions.

Between a green eucalyptus forest and the splendid beach of El Haouzia, the city is located between past and modernity. Ancestral traditions during the moussem of Moulay-Abdallah Amghar, where falcons are trained, and epic activities such as Fantazia are discovered.

The red pearl of Morocco

MARRAKECH

The Red Pearl

Between tradition and modernity, Marrakech is the promise of incomparable sensations.

Strolling around the Jemaa El-Fna square and the souks with their shimmering colors and oriental scents, the red city responds with a snap of your fingers to your desire for a change of scenery. Carriage rides, sunny terraces, traveling artists and other activities day and night will punctuate a stopover on a trip.

An incomparable architectural wealth in the Medina by visiting one of its many riads, small oriental palaces organized around a patio, or even the Menara, a vast garden with a basin emblematic of the city.

You just have to leave the enclosure of the ramparts to be immersed in contemporary Morocco or in the countryside offering wonderful escapes like in the heart of the Agafay desert...

From Ouarzazate, palm groves and adobe Berber villages reach Zagora

OUARZAZATE - ZAGORA

Palm grove & Sahara desert

An authentic destination full of a thousand and one wonders, Ouarzazate, Zagora and Tinghir reveal a diversity of incredible landscapes, between desert and green valleys. In the footsteps of the most illustrious directors who shot the masterpieces of the 7th art in the sumptuous settings of this cinema city: “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator”, “Kundun” and “Babel”.

Numerous hiking trails lead to the confines of the desert, to meet camel drivers and their caravans, at the crossroads of the Draâ, Ziz and Dadès roads.

And why not bivouac? The Tinfou dune, near Zagora , also called the “golden sand” dune, for an unforgettable experience! As for Tinghir, it is a splendid panorama, from the Kasbah of Glaoui, that this town in the High Atlas offers over its palm grove and the Todra gorges.

Safi

SAFI

The fishing port

The formidable silhouette of Kechla and the waters of the Atlantic crashing against its walls: this is one of the many paintings that can be admired in Safi.

For five centuries now, the fortress has stood sentinel on the banks of the ocean. Its tall crenellated towers offer admirable perspectives. The pottery district is particularly attractive. Artisans rush there and create wonders of terracotta and clay which they then display in the windows of their shops. Safi is one of the Moroccan ceramic capitals. Still on the peaks of Kechla, we can see the old Medina. The labyrinth of its alleys, their narrowness has something mysterious which invites you to take a stroll. Further on, it's Rue du Souk: echoes, rumors, aromas. Behind the rolling waves are impressive and legendary for surfers in Safi.

Taroudant

TAROUDANT

Little Marrakech

With its ramparts as a backdrop, the city seems a jewel, one of the most beautiful in Morocco. In the shadow of its walls steeped in history and whose towers have stood for more than five centuries to protect the ancient capital of the Saadian sultans.

A historic city, rich in a long past, the dynamism of modern life combines harmoniously with the heritage of tradition. The leathers are particularly famous there, as are the terracotta trinkets. Taroudant has also made a specialty of argan oil production. Go outside the ramparts to discover cooperatives.

The town is also the starting point for many hikes. Located in the middle of the two Atlas ranges, it benefits from a favorable situation. Nature and culture, modernity and tradition, Taroudant definitely has no shortage of attractions!
