The doors to the great south open from Ouarzazate. Here begins the journey to the Sahara .
In the wake of Lawrence of Arabia and former camel caravans, the trek begins with the ascent of Jebel Bani, continues with the discovery of the Rhoul and Chegaga ergs to reach the banks of Lake Iriki after 5 days of walking.
Accompanied by a camel and an experienced organizing team, the event promises a timeless stay.

FIRST STEP

- Enter your identity and contact details
- Accept the terms of the personal accident agreement and the table of insurance guarantees taken out by the organizer
- Take out or refuse the optional cancellation insurance offered
- Accept the program and what it includes
- Pay registration fees
- Pay by credit card a deposit of 50% of the registration fees (+5% invoiced by the online file manager)
MEDICAL FILE
SECOND STEP
The organization transmits the information necessary to compile the medical file.
A period of time is granted for the completeness of the medical file and the sending of the documents required by the organization's doctor (the only person able to consult any medical file according to the regulations of the order of doctors)
REQUIRED MEDICAL PARTS
- A medical certificate dated less than 1 year before the trek, duly established by the referring doctor.
- An ECG, electrocardiogram – stress test less than 2 years old for participants aged 50 in 2025 and over.

COURSE
A PROGRESSIVE PATHWAY
- Itinerant trek of approximately 100 km over 5 days, an average of 20 km covered in 6 to 8 hours of daily walking.
- Terrain: pebbles, rocks, small stumps, earth, sand
- Altitude: + or – 700 meters
- Elevation gain: + or – 500 meters on the first day
- Average temperatures in February: daily between 0° and 20° degrees and nighttime between -5° and 5°.
LEVEL
“SPORTS” LEVEL
- A daily walking time of 6 to 8 hours (excluding lunch break)
- A distance traveled each day + or – 20 km
- An off-the-beaten-track route between mountains and sandy desert
- A total elevation gain of + or – 500 meters on the first day
- A pass on the first day
- An altitude of + or – 700 meters over the entire
- Very good physical condition required
- Mandatory training with weekly practice of an endurance sport

Trek Des Gazelles By Mélanie events are accessible to all women in good physical condition who practice regular physical and sporting activity.
All women can register from the age of majority, from 18 years old to 70 years old.
A trek necessarily requires preparation and training to be able to withstand the effort over long distances, and thus enjoy walking throughout the duration of the adventure.
The sports director, accompanied by the organization's doctor, will be the only people capable of forming the walking groups based on each person's usual pace, sporting experience and medical file (which can be consulted in advance by the organization's doctor. ).
