Imlil, gateway to Toubkal National Park .
Welcome to the mountains of the Moroccan High Atlas.
We are immediately struck by these impressive mountains which remind us of Tibetan landscapes. Views worthy of Himalayas by the height of the summits around you. Our paths take deep gorges, wet valleys, shelled ridges and rocky highlands. Vast slopes of scree with rocks of various colors contrasts with the green of rare terraced cultures.
THE FLORA OF IMLIL AND THE HIGH ATLAS
The vegetation of this part of the High Atlas is mainly made up of tuyas, green oaks, red junants, and thorny xerophytes.
The gold of the region is the nuts that are exchanged and sold in the various souks of the province.
THE WILDLIFE OF IMLIL AND THE HIGH ATLAS
The fauna is that of the wild regions of the region. Immense territories where you find Mouflons, Gazelles, Chatcals, Wild boils….
Finally, the royal eagles constitute the best known species in the Toubkal National Park.
As for the mules, they accompany all the hikes organized for their skill on the delicate and rocky trails of this high mountain.
