Invitation to travel
The Trek Des Gazelles by Mélanie meets you in Zagora, gateway to the desert and starting point of our adventure to the Sahara.
Our camel trek follows a route steeped in history, once used by sub-Saharan caravans.
You will be captivated by the immensity of the dunes, ergs and desert plateaus.
As night falls, our bivouacs light up. Around a fire, nature calms down and the Milky Way offers us a magical spectacle.
An authentic experience where the Tuareg spirit accompanies you beyond time.
Route and technique
The mountain to reach the desert
- A 6-day trip
- A trek of approximately 80 km
- 4 days of walking
- Various terrain: pebbles, rocks, small stumps, earth, sand, etc.
- Altitude: + or – 700 meters
- Total elevation gain: + or – 500 meters in total
- Crossing the pass on the first day
- Average temperatures in December: daily between 5° and 30° degrees and night between 0° and 10°
- Sandstorm
- Practice of a sporting activity
- Good physical condition and endurance required
- Regular training required
