The Trek Des Gazelles by Mélanie invites you to meet at the edge of Zagora, gateway to the desert and starting point of our adventure to the Sahara.
Our camel trek follows a route steeped in history, once used by sub-Saharan caravans.
You will be captivated by the immensity of the dunes, ergs and desert plateaus.
As night falls, our bivouacs light up. Around a fire, nature calms down and the Milky Way offers us a magical spectacle.
An authentic experience where the Tuareg spirit transports you out of time.

Route and technique
The great south and the mountains to reach the Moroccan desert
- A 6-day trip
- A trek of approximately 70 km
- 3.5 days of walking
- Various terrain: pebbles, rocks, small stumps, earth, sand, etc.
- Altitude: from 700 to 1100 meters
- Average positive elevation gain: + or - 400 meters
- A mountain pass
- Temperatures in December: daytime highs between 5° and 30° Celsius and nighttime highs between 0° and 10° Celsius
- Weather conditions: possibility of temporary sandstorms
- Good physical condition is essential
- Endurance required

OUARZAZATE, gateway to the GREAT SOUTH
Ouarzazate, nicknamed the silent city, is the gateway to Morocco's Great South, opening onto the vast arid expanses of the desert. At the confluence of the Drâa and Dadès rivers, the landscapes reveal a veritable kingdom of palm groves.
Once a stop on caravan routes linking Marrakech to the Sahara, Ouarzazate has established itself over the centuries as a crossroads of civilizations. The region owes its prosperity in particular to its refined craftsmanship and its earthen kasbahs , witnesses to the history of the Great South.
Here you'll find master stonemasons and copper artisans, custodians of ancestral know-how. A major film location, Ouarzazate hosts numerous filming locations for huge international productions.
A land of living traditions, the region gives a major place to music and the arts: Songs, rhythms and dances – including the famous Ahwach, Ahaidous and Taskiouines – enliven festivals and make the deep soul of southern Morocco vibrate.

Since 2015, the Trek des Gazelles by Mélanie has embodied a unique women's adventure in Morocco.
The signature edition, the Sea Edition, reveals an aerial journey punctuated by secret bivouacs, between ocean, wild coves and argan forests.
