The Trek Des Gazelles By Mélanie invites you to Essaouira, the city of the trade winds, for a unique trek-event along the shores of the Atlantic Coast of Morocco.
Our caravan sets off from the beach of the old Mogador, to the rhythm of the waves and the light on the ocean, the landscapes transform.
Following in the wake of the camels, our route crosses immense beaches of fine sand. In the distance, on the majestic cliffs, stand the argan trees, endemic to the region.

Route and technique
In Morocco, on the paths of the Atlantic coast
- A 6-day trip
- A trek of approximately 80 km
- 4 days of walking
- Various terrain: sand, earth, pebbles, rocks, small stumps, wadis, etc.
- Altitude: 0 to 300 meters
- Average elevation gain: + or - 700 meters per day
- Temperatures in October: daytime temperatures between 10° and 25° Celsius and nighttime temperatures between 5° and 15° Celsius
- Weather conditions: the route is subject to the trade winds
- Good physical condition is essential
- Endurance required

Essaouira, the city of the trade winds, captivates from the very first moment. From its 18th-century ramparts, erected by Théodore Cornut, a breathtaking view opens onto the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean.
The medina, a UNESCO World Heritage , is a true treasure trove where every alleyway reveals a rich architectural heritage. In the heart of the city, artisans showcase their talent: sculpted objects, refined pieces, and creations inspired by the traditions of the master craftsmen of yesteryear bear witness to a unique expertise.
Then comes the time to take a break at the fishing port. There, you can savor freshly caught fish and shellfish in an authentic atmosphere — an unmissable culinary experience.
The dunes-backed beaches of Essaouira appeal to surfers and kitesurfers alike, as well as visitors seeking tranquility. The oceanic climate invites leisurely strolls and relaxation while gazing at a soothing horizon.
WOMEN 'S TESTIMONIES
Since 2015, the Trek des Gazelles by Mélanie has embodied a unique women's adventure in Morocco.
The signature edition, the Sea Edition, reveals an aerial journey punctuated by secret bivouacs, between ocean, wild coves and argan forests.
Through their stories, these women share precious moments, filled with sisterhood, self-improvement, and intense emotions.

Since our return from the sea edition, the memories are a daily occurrence, the laughter constantly echoes in our minds, and the effort is proudly etched in our memories! We want to relive it! Just like that and no other!

An extraordinary adventure, but also an “extraordinary” one
I participated this year in the Trek des Gazelles by Melanie - sea edition with 2 friends.
It's difficult to describe everything I experienced with words...: the cohesion, the solidarity, the mutual support, the beauty of the landscapes, the encounters and exchanges with the Moroccans... Indescribable.
A sporting adventure but also a human one outside of time, extraordinary but also “extra-ordinary…” This moment will remain etched in my memory forever.
