Route and technique

A mid-mountain route to the Atlas Gardens

  • 4 days of walking
  • Various terrain: pebbles, rocks, small stumps, wadis, gardens, etc.
  • Altitude: + or – 1800 meters
  • Elevation gain: + or - 1000 meters
  • Crossing the pass on the first day
  • Average temperatures in spring: daily between 5° and 25° degrees and night between -5° and 10°

BEFORE LEAVING

Yes. Many participants choose to experience it alone. Upon your arrival in Ouarzazate, you are welcomed and integrated into the caravan.

During the six-day trek, you'll travel together, at the pace of the landscapes, surrounded by an experienced team that ensures your comfort and safety. Guides, doctors, camel drivers, and tour leaders will be with you throughout the entire journey.

Yes. You can register together and let us know, when you register, that you wish to share this adventure.

You will travel within the same caravan and experience each stage of the journey together.

The Desert Edition represents approximately 70 km of walking over 3.5 days, across varied desert terrain.

The experience is accessible to all women, whether athletic or not. You don't need to be an experienced walker or a seasoned athlete. Gradual preparation, a few regular walking sessions, and good physical fitness will allow you to approach the journey with confidence.

Here, there is no search for performance: each woman advances at her own pace, carried by the strength of the group and the energy of the caravan.

The commitment fees include all the services that make up the Trek des Gazelles by Mélanie experience: pre-departure support, arrival in Ouarzazate, accommodation, trekking, bivouacs, full board, logistics, supervision and safety equipment.

Nearly 100 professionals are mobilized to support up to 100 participants. This small-scale organization allows for individual attention to be given to each participant and ensures a high level of comfort, support, and safety.

The journey is conceived as a true human caravan, bringing together women and men who intimately know the desert and its territories.

At each stage, you are accompanied by our sports management, guides, doctors, camel drivers and experienced support staff.

Our organization also includes medical and security resources, national and international medical assistance, a repatriation system, and support from the Royal Moroccan Gendarmerie.

Yes. Our travel agency can imagine and organize, before or after the Desert Edition, a private stay in Morocco according to your wishes: Marrakech, Essaouira, the desert or any other destination.

Each trip is tailor-made, according to your desires and pace.
